My skills include teaching, coaching and mentoring managers at all levels to maximize their leadership potential.  My ability to coach teams and individuals to success has driven and has motivated performance, while dramatically reducing turnover – in turn driving financial performance.​

Leadership Consulting. Over the past 6+ years, Jim has played a pivotal role in enhancing my leadership
skills through my Executive Assessment and Development Plan (EADP).
From our very first session, it was clear that Jim possessed an understanding of leadership principles and a
remarkable ability to tailor the approach to meet individual needs. Jim is exceptional at explaining the coaching

process to help quell fears with the process. Jim’s style creates a safe space for open dialogue and self-
reflection.

One call-out of Jim’s coaching style. Prior to delivering the 360-feedback received from my team, Jim prepared
me for a potential roller coaster of emotions, that he refers to as “SARAH”. Which stands for Surprise, Anger,
Rationalization, Acceptance and Help. This concept set the stage for ease of accepting the feedback, Jim
stated it is normal to have these emotions but getting through them without getting stuck at a step was key to
moving forward.
Jim’s ability to explain situational leadership using the ‘will and skill’ philosophy in terms of micromanaging
your team, is another example of Jim’s exceptional coaching. Junior leaders that have both the will and skill
to do the job should be left alone, while those that lack both will and skill need teaching. I leverage this concept
on a regular basis and have gone from being a micromanager to a macro manager.
After completing the EADP Jim has continued to show genuine interest in my continued growth as a leader
by participating in monthly calls years later. Although Jim started out as my Executive Coach, I now consider
Jim a dear friend and I am grateful for Jim’s commitment to me as a leader and individual.

I was first introduced to Jim Pierce around 2016 as I was taking part in a colleague’s
feedback session for Executive Development. This was followed by my own engagement in
Executive Development/Coaching by Jim Pierce in 2019 when I was a Sr. Director of Third
